Why Energy Is the Most Underrated Transformation of Your 30s & 40s
Most people think a glow-up is about the outside. Lose the weight. Buy the new clothes. Change your hair. Start showing up in a way that looks like “you’ve got it together.” And for a while, those things do feel good, especially when you’re in that stretch of life where you’re tired of not recognizing yourself anymore. Tired of hiding in photos. Tired of getting dressed in clothes that don’t feel like you. Tired of putting everyone else first, only to crawl into bed and realize… You don’t even know what you need anymore.
But here’s the truth that hits differently when you're in your 30s or 40s: The real glow-up isn’t your weight, your wardrobe, or your career. It’s your energy. Because you can change how you look all you want—but if you’re still operating from burnout, shame, or survival mode, nothing sticks.
You know what changes your life?
Peace.
Boundaries.
Self-trust.
The kind of energy that’s steady, grounded, and rooted in something deeper than “being good.”
This matters more than ever when you’re in the messy middle of life: either raising kids, holding down a career, trying to stay present in your marriage, or attempting to finally lose that weight you’ve been carrying (physically and emotionally). Because maybe no one told you this, but I will: When you shift your energy, everything else follows. This is especially true if you’re someone who’s tried it all before.
You’ve done the fitness plans.
You’ve downloaded the apps.
You’ve said “I’ll start Monday” more times than you can count.
You’ve spent your time, money, and emotional bandwidth trying to get it together.
And you’ve probably made progress before, but it didn’t last. Not because you’re lazy. Not because you lack discipline. But because everything you tried was built around controlling your behavior… and not healing your relationship with yourself. And that’s what most people miss. We’re told to track calories. Count steps. Push harder. Be stronger. But no one talks about what happens when your nervous system is fried. When your self-worth is tied to the scale.
When you’re too exhausted to care and too overwhelmed to start again. That’s when you need a different kind of glow-up. One that doesn’t start with a meal plan, but with a mirror. Not to critique yourself—but to finally see yourself again. Because it’s not just the 10 or 20 pounds you want to lose. It’s the version of you underneath it. The one who feels strong in her body. Present in her life. Calm in her choices. Proud of her progress. Energized instead of exhausted. That’s what energy work looks like in real life.
Your energy determines everything:
What kind of food you choose when you’re tired
Whether you show up to move your body or collapse on the couch
Whether you stay stuck in guilt or move into grace
Whether you parent with patience or from overwhelm
Whether you speak up for your needs or keep people-pleasing until you snap
And when your energy is off, it doesn’t matter how good your intentions are. Eventually, you’ll burn out, snap back, or quit on yourself again. But when your energy is grounded? When is your inner world regulated? Everything becomes easier. Not because life stops being hard—but because you stop abandoning yourself in the process.
You start fueling your body like it matters.
You move because it feels good, not because you “have to.”
You say no without guilt.
You sleep better.
You stop emotionally eating, not because you’re trying to be perfect, but because you finally feel safe in your body.
And here’s the best part: this kind of transformation is available at any age. I’ve worked with women and men who thought it was too late. Too late to lose the weight.
Too late to start fresh. Too late to trust themselves again.
And you know what? It wasn’t. Because when you stop chasing aesthetics and start cultivating aligned energy, real, sustainable change becomes possible. Not the kind of change that disappears the second life gets busy. The kind that stays. Because it’s rooted in who you’re becoming, not who you’re pretending to be. So if you’re sitting here in the middle of your life, wondering why nothing has worked… let me tell you this:
It’s not that you lack willpower.
It’s not that you need another 30-day reset.
You’re just exhausted. Overstimulated. And completely disconnected from what you actually need. And that’s not something you solve with another diet or productivity hack. That’s something you heal with care, with consistency, with coaching that sees the whole of you.
That’s what we do inside my coaching world. We’re not just here to lose weight. We’re here to regain power. To rebuild self-trust. To reconnect with your body. To regulate your energy. To actually feel good in your life again, not just look like it from the outside. Because when that happens? The weight comes off. The clothes fit better. The compliments start rolling in. But more importantly, you start recognizing yourself again. And nothing feels better than that.
If that’s the kind of glow-up you’re craving…
My doors are open. Let’s build a life where you feel alive again.
with love,
Louisa
