My Love for The Miracle Morning and Why I Recommend It to my Clients

When I first heard about The Miracle Morning, I honestly rolled my eyes a little. Another morning routine book? I thought I already knew what worked for me: wake up, rush through coffee, and jump straight into my to-do list. But then I watched the documentary, and something inside me shifted.

It wasn’t about being perfect or joining the 5 a.m. club. It was about creating a sacred pocket of time in the morning, before the world and all its noise take over, to set yourself up mentally, emotionally, and physically for the day ahead.

The Miracle Morning, created by Hal Elrod, is built around six simple but powerful practices called S.A.V.E.R.S.: Silence, Affirmations, Visualization, Exercise, Reading, and Scribing (journaling). Separately, they’re useful habits. But together? They’re life-changing.

And for me, as a woman navigating PCOS, motherhood, and coaching others, this method has been a true anchor.

Silence

One of the sweetest gifts I give myself is waking up before my son. I tiptoe out of bed, make my warm water with electrolytes, take my supplements, and for a few moments, the house is completely quiet.

That silence is truly golden. It’s my chance to sit, breathe, and center myself. Sometimes I’ll do a short Louise Hay–inspired breathing practice, placing one hand on my heart, one on my belly, and repeating quietly: “I am safe. I trust my body. I am exactly where I’m meant to be.. Before I found this practice, mornings felt like chaos. Now, they feel like calm intention.

Affirmations

I used to think affirmations were cheesy, but honestly? They work. PCOS, hormonal issues, taking care of a toddler, working on my coaching business, can come with a lot of stress and anxiety, either stressful peaks, slow progress, hormonal ups and downs, feeling like your body isn’t cooperating. Affirmations helped me rewrite that inner dialogue and be kinder to myself.

Instead of starting the day with negative self-talk, I tell myself things like:

  • “I trust my body to heal.”

  • “I am capable of creating balance in my life.”

  • “I am a loving, patient mom and woman.”

It might sound simple, but when you hear those words often enough, you start to believe them. And belief is everything.

Visualization

Visualization is like a mental rehearsal for the life you want. I’ll close my eyes for a few minutes and imagine myself living my healthiest, happiest, and most successful day. I picture myself strong in my workouts, energized and positive throughout my day, calm and present with my son, and fulfilled in my work. The brain doesn’t fully distinguish between what’s real and what’s vividly imagined. By practicing success in your mind, you’re preparing your body and spirit to live it.

Exercise/movement

This one is my non-negotiable. Movement has always been important in my health journey, not to punish my body, but to support it. High-intensity workouts used to leave me drained, but finding strength and low-impact routines brought balance back. Think strength training, walking, and reformer pilates workouts.

Most mornings, I roll out my mat and do a workout with FORM. Their classes are short, effective, and so uplifting. You can check them out here: FORM Digital Platform. And if you want to try it, use my code LOUISA20 for 20% off on your subscription. This isn’t just about exercise, it’s about starting my day feeling capable and strong. And remember, do this because you love your body, not because you hate it.

Reading

I love to feed my mind before the world starts bombarding me with emails, news, and social media. Even just 10 minutes of reading something uplifting or educational gives me a fresh perspective. It feels like breakfast for the brain; small, nourishing, and exactly what I need to start the day right. Reading has always been one of my happy places, especially self-development books, and I aim to finish at least one book a month. But making reading part of my morning ritual takes it to another level; it’s no longer just a hobby, it’s a form of daily self-care and growth.

Scribing (Journaling)

This step has been deeply healing for me. Some mornings, I write a gratitude list. Other days, I reflect on how I’m feeling in my body, track my cycles, or simply pour out whatever’s on my mind. Journaling helps me spot patterns in my mood and PCOS symptoms, but it also keeps me present and reminds me to appreciate the life I have. Most importantly, it brings me emotional clarity. It feels like holding up a mirror to my inner world, and once my thoughts are on paper, I feel lighter, calmer, and more grounded.

Why I Love This Method and Why I Share It With My Clients

What I adore about The Miracle Morning is its flexibility. You don’t need hours. Even if you give one or two minutes to each practice, you’ve shifted from autopilot to intention. For me, it’s not about perfection, but about consistency. By the time my son wakes up, I’ve already nourished my body, mind, and spirit. I’m calmer, more present, and ready for him, my husband, my business, and for the rest of my day. The documentary was what hooked me. Seeing real people from all walks of life completely change their mornings and their lives reminded me that it’s not just a “self-help trick.” It’s a framework for genuine transformation. That’s why I recommend my clients not only read the book but also watch the film via this link.

When individuals come to me feeling overwhelmed by health struggles, by low confidence, by stress, I often start here. Because the way you start your morning shapes everything else.

My Encouragement to You

If you’ve been craving more peace, focus, or energy in your mornings, I can’t recommend The Miracle Morning enough.

For me, this practice is about one powerful choice: starting my day with intention. Instead of rushing into chaos, I claim those first quiet moments for myself. And that simple shift has changed everything. Because when you choose yourself in the morning, you show up better for everything and everyone else.
